What does labor-only moving mean?⌄
Labor-only means you supply the vehicle and we supply the movers. You rent the truck or have the container dropped, and our crew loads it, unloads it, or both. Packed does not carry your goods between addresses, so the driving stays with you or with the rental company.
Do you bring equipment, or do I have to rent it?⌄
We bring dollies, ratchet straps, blankets and hand tools to every job. Shrink wrap and mattress bags come on request, so mention them when you book. You only supply the truck, trailer, container or unit itself.
How many movers do I need?⌄
Crew size comes down to the size of the load, the number of heavy pieces and the walk between the door and the truck. A one-bedroom is usually two movers, and a full house into a trailer is usually more. Call and we will size it in a couple of minutes.
Can I book just the unload?⌄
Yes, unload-only is one of our most common bookings. People drive the truck themselves and then realise the second half is the hard half. A crew meets you at the new address, carries everything in and places it by room.
Do you take the furniture apart so it fits?⌄
Yes, taking furniture apart is included when it helps the load fit, and the crew puts it back together on the unload. Hardware is bagged and taped to the piece it came off so nothing goes missing in transit.
Can you help with an in-building move?⌄
Yes, and in-building moves are quick. One customer moved between units in her own building and the crew had it done in under two hours, then used the spare time to unbox and build a new couch.
